Greg Joens 04 Feb 2008

We should never turn a blind eye toward someone in need. That person in trouble could be you or me. God made us all to love and to be loved. Thanks for the reminder!

Susan Currier 19 Nov 2007

What a sad photo! In every major city you will find this. Jesus said the poor will always be with us. What matters is what we share with them. Share Christ first! Girl.. you do have an eye for photography!

Anonymous Guest 02 Oct 2007

From the beginning of time there have been those who are found needy. Some of them are victims, some by their own demise. There but for the grace of God, go I. We don't need to blame our president, but must love our neighbor as ourselves. Interesting subject, sad photo.

Forty million without health care. Billions to an illegal war started by a devout Christian using lies, deceit and the stupid, ignorant and blind faith of idiots who believe that a proclamation of faith is all that is needed to be a trusted leader. We did this. We have lost so much. I see our country in this photo. We have been blinded by faith, lead because we choose to be stupid and the leaders in power are the leaders we wanted. The guy to you'd like to have a beer with rather than those sissy smart guys. Last thing we want is a leader smarter than most of us.

Matt Arpen 19 Jun 2007

powerful work... espically the bottom shot, with the people in the background seeming to not even notice the man laying in the street.

A lost soul who simply turned down the wrong road...many of us have been there. Appropriatley titled and well taken...also Christine, the message is all around us everywhere every day...always seen, never forgotten, but far to often ignored. Good piece and thanks for the message.

It's already been seven years ago when the Lord taught me the importance and meaning of intercessory prayer. I'd seen, then, no value in my words or feeling in matters I thought belonged to God. But He showed me how truely valuable even my thoughts and feeling are to Him. I was half awake, half asleep that night when I my soul was in heaven sitting in a corner seating area talking with the Father. He asked me how's the family,...how's everything with me personally,...just then this little girl came up to me to say, "hello, I've been here since 1885." Suddenly, I could see through her eyes as I looked upon my dad laughing and drinking in our boat as I went up and down in the water. He said drunkenly, "Come'on, you can swim!" ,...I(she) drowned that day. Then,...just as fast,...I was inside her father's body on the other side of the gulf,...hell if you wish. I heard him screaming across the gulf to his daughter(ever since he had died!),...yelling, "I'm sorry,...please forgive me Virginia,....I'm sorry,....please forgive me Virginia!" ,....over and over. A thought quickly came to me of his having used drugs and alcohal,...and the Father yelled at me, "Nevermind the drugs,....nevermind the alcohal!!!!" I felt his intense pain,...I began screaming for him to Father in the Name of Jesus, "Please forgive him Lord!!! ,...Please,....forgive him Lord!!!!" I was screaming so loud I could here my own voice in my bedroom. Just then,....a gavel pounded down three times loudly,.....and a voice of thunders from the throne yelled, "Release him,...he is free indeed!!!!" I was then standing before the Lord's throne. He said to me, "You are My son indeed!,...ask Me anything and it is yours." I cried,....and told Him my best friend's sister was having many troubles,...could He help her?" He said, "Don't worry,...I'll take care of her" And I woke up praising the Lord. The next day,...without going into details,...a miracle happened to my friends sister. Intercessory prayer not only works,...but is extremely powerful!!!! ---a moving capture---- ( just try to help who you can,...when you can)

Artist Reply: Wow! I came back here again and found this. Maybe I read it before, maybe I didn't. I am so glad that you shared this with me. It not only helps me to understand the world more, myself and you, our connection with everyone and God! An incredible testimoney and story. I am honored that you would share this with me and will try to remember more what prayer means to God. I talk with him many days and try to hold on to my faith through all the trials, day to day. Sometimes waxing and wanning but ever returning to him and his love. I must remember all the things he has done for us, the world and me. One such miracle is you sharing this. Thank you so much. Would you please say a small prayer for me and my family and friends as I now will say one for you. In the name of Jesus Christ, Bless and Keep Greg in your care and his loved ones. Guide them in all things with your wisdom, Lord! I thank you for caring for your people, may we learn to love as you do. Amen!! Sinseerly yours Christine Brand

There but for the GRACE of GOD go all of us...

Artist Reply: aaah, so much to this image and so much to say for my want and lack of funds and time to help this lost one for I am on the verge of this these days as I have moved and have no money or a job, still looking for a place where I belong...I was lost that night driving too and had no means but my car and camera. Could I bring this person into my realm of uncertainty...the circumstances would not allow it...and as I wished to help this soul, I wished to help myself. While I stopped to take this picture the two men walked by, not even a glance was given to the sleeper on the walk. I have suffered much in my life close to this many times through events out of my control when I was a child, an abusive father and mother that ran from him and left us without care or a place to rest...brought me close to this edge. We had to sleep many places as young children, dirty without food wandering the streets and junkyard for clothes or substinance. So I understand this image. Now I have had to make a transition in my life again not my wish to be in a place close to this, but trying to make my life better. I can not tell all the story but for those who think that I just was unconcerned and took a picture to walk away without a care...they are wrong...Thank you Elf Evans for looking at my phtos and art. You are a friend I cherish. Sincerely Christine . When I was a lost and lonely child many times of sorrow I lived through and the neighbors knew...still they did not intervene or help my mother or my brothers and sisters...no one brothered most of the time to care what out father did to us. But sometimes some people did, yet we were left in this traumatic chaotic life and existence by the town we lived in, even the police that knew our family did not do much about the torture. No one saved us until I was 15 and my mother ran across the state to be as far from the danger as possible. I saw my mother scream for her life as my father tried to kill her by strangling her to death more than once...so Yes, I understand this image...God Bless you for taking the time to share my life.

Is this What the Our World Has Come to; Just ignoring the Sick and Needy? It is Appalling...Yes...I agree; If we are the Body, why are not our hands reaching? With All the Love we have; we should never ignore the evident!
