Fling in the Sun

One of my favorite paintings to create along the Blue Ridge Parkway at a Virginia lake. A lone black boat with a cream sail skims effortlessly across the water. What a great day! Traditional hand-made, gold metal leaf over wood, linen lined frame.

I can feel the movement of the wind and the ocean movement. Great composition and colors.

You paintings are really wonderful, Diane. The sail is beautifully painted.

Artist Reply: Thank you Anneke, The sail was actually that cream color! I have painted many a sailboat that has white fabric, but this one was so warm and inviting on the mountain lake, unlike others I have created in the same location.
