Smallest Falcon

Recently I was in downtown Ft Worth taking pictures. I happened to look up at the edge of an old warehouse, and noticed this female American Kestrel taking an interest in my activities. The American Kestrel is the smallest falcon in North America - about the size of an Amrican Robin, and is 2nd smallest in the world. It's found in a wide variety of habitats but not very common in urban settings, let alone downtown Fort Worth.

You are quite lucky to have such a variety of birds around you. Falcons, incredible hunters. Beautiful shot Shawn.
