I love your sky.

This is a wonderful composition, I love the touch of golden yellow highlight in the distant clearing.

Beautiful, You inner spirit is coming out for all us to enjoy! Thanks Marisa :)

Artist Reply: thanks honey,, this was the first one I did soon after I moved here, being from N.England, you can imagine my awe at the size of the Oaks, the flatness of the landscape and all the tropical-ness in comparison to Boston! This place will inspire anyone to paint, it just pulls it out of you!!

another side to your great talent, i don't totally agree with faye, the excitement for me is the landscape you have portrayed, the dark forground against the bright sky works for me!

Artist Reply: Thanks Kevin,, and thank you everyone,, if I didn't email you personally... been busy with my "real" job.. hahahahah..

Good composition. . Almost one=third of your painting is dark The extra darkness may be due to camera or computer screen - but I would like to see foreground a little lighter with faint hint of objects there. If your point of interest is the autumn colored trees in the background then they are not bright enough to hold my interest. I keep coming back to the foreground looking for something more something to create a little mystery - intrigue. Your trees and the sly behind them is well executed. Tif sky holes through trees on the right were brightened, would balance the painting a little better. If asked, I would be hard pressed to write an ekphrastic poem for your painting as I cannot find its story - very little is happening. The depth of light in a painting can be electrifying. A little tweeking and this could become an exciting painting. Try another painting like this with brighter light amd you may surprise yourself and make a more attractive picture. These of course are just my suggestions for your consideration. Keep on painting and may your painting arm never tire. Faye

Artist Reply: Thanks Faye,,, I will follow your suggestions. I want to learn as much as I can from those who have been doing it much longer than I... Painting is exciting but learning is even more satisfying when it can be applied! thanks thanks,, I'll be posting one before the week is out ;)
