I could stare at this mountain forever and never get tired of it. This is the upper part of the Winthrop Glacier and Russell Cliff. What I have failed to mention about this hike is the 30 mph winds that were buffeting us as we hiked in the open. Back down at the tree level there was little or no wind. I would venture to guess that the winds were stronger on the mountain as we watched clouds of snow or dust travel up the side. We didn't see any climbers this day. I think the season for climbing has come to a close....at least on this side. Hope you enjoyed this hike...we sure did!! Even 77 photos of this day could never do it justice.... :) Thanks so much for veiwing!!
