Home of Thunder and the Donkey

Oil on Canvas, Painted in Plien Air, 16x20. While living in Stephentown NY for a short period I was able to enjoy across the road a work horse named Thunder and his friend the Donkey. Just before moving out of the apartment, I decided to paint their home.

Artist Reply: Thank You for your comment Helen. I painted this in one setting in Plien Air. Started around 9 am, and came to a finish about 2 pm. Parts of the painting, I could have gone back into and made corrections, but I wanted to leave as is, without reworking. I hope to do more Plien Air painting.
