A shard of lawnmower sculpted red plastic contrasts nicely with the purple light and deep blues of the African violet.

Artist Reply: I like the contrast between the blues and the stark sterile red (but a pretty color nevertheless) of the plastic cup shard. Additionally I thought the torn sharp shapes contrasted a bit with the soft organic curves of the flower. Thanks so much for your comment Lili !
