LETS CUTTLE

Location Data: INDONESIA - BANDA SEA------------------------------Location Data: INDONESIA - BANDA SEA This image of a Cuttle fish, was taken in the Banda Sea, an area known as the Spice Islands. Cuttle Fish are not true fish despite the common name; they are in the same family with octopus, beaked Cephalopods. They have the same ability to instantly change skin coloration and pattern often flashing from one to the next faster than the blink of an eye. Or they will come to rest and instantly mimic the background color and pattern perfectly. You will often find them hovering in open mid water, flashing away with a light show for no one in particular, or maybe they just have to practice, I will ask the next one I meet. Like octopus they are very intelligent and will often hang around and study you flashing their colors and flaring their front body frills at you to see your reaction.
