3-D Metallic Abstract

For this I used Acrylic paint to build up the contours on stretched canvas and used pearlized metallic acrylic paint for the design and colors. Thus different lighting gives you different shades and sheen from different angles.

Hi Sharon, wow what an intensive piece! What are the dimensions?

Ian Richard Laws 26 Jun 2008

Excellent Sharon. Loose yet complicated depending on which mood you look at this piece in. Colors are very exciting and the gold is controlled yet not in a uniform manner. Great work, From Ian.

gorgeous combination of colors Sharon, and the dots add such an amazing texture. Maybe you could work on another one bit by bit (an inch of dots a day?) so that it will ease the repetitive nature. It is so very effective. Love it!

Anonymous Guest 24 Jun 2008

Great abstract Sharon.

Teresa Dominici 24 Jun 2008

Love all your abstract, great colors.

Annette Labedzki 24 Jun 2008

looks like you had a lot of fun!

Artist Reply: I did, indeed, have a lot fun painting this. However it took me longer than any painting I ever painted, and I've ended up with tendonitis of my left shoulder, because of alllllllllll the dots and the repetitive motion of painting each dot. So the ones I've painted like this are my only that I will paint. I hope some day in a few years to be able to paint more. Thank you so very much for your great comments, Annette. Hugs, Sharon

Very nice Sharon, I like the lines and the colors, reminds me of the fair when I was a child and you could put paint on a spinwheel and create beautiful abstracts. Well done.
