Shooting the Pier

To the surfer this is called shooting the pier (an attempt at surfing between the pillars) I thought the long lens compression of the pillars made this an interesting shot.

Such a dramatic shot... the foreshortening of the pillars is perfection and the deposits (?) at the bottom of each adds an otherworldly aspect.

Artist Reply: Thanks Gary. Those deposits are mussels growing at the high tide line. They are razor sharp.
