Artist Reply: Thank you, Sten. Sometimes it gets a little tricky to produce these daily. I dont always have the kind of time I like to have in the evenings to just sit down and focus on a drawing. I try to leave my evenings free for drawing.
The person shines through when you paint/draw them.... what is your mixed media?
Artist Reply: Thank you, Julie. The mixed media is that I draw the portrait with pencil first, then use photoshop to colorize it using a color layer overlay. The resulting effect is something that is a cross between a colored pencil drawing and a watercolor painting.
I'm so in awe of your work! The expression in the eyes, the shape of the mouth and lips, the strokes you used for the light/shadows of the skin...all just absolutely superb. You are amazing, Greg!
Artist Reply: Thank you Ginger. Thanks also for your note today about Fluor Daniel and the connection there. I have always considered employment with FD to be one of my better work choices. Have a great day! Greg
