Artist Reply: Your visit is a joy, dearest Kukua. All my loyal friends are here for me; I'm a lucky man indeed. Thank you very much. I must explain something about the special importance of this fact. Galicia, the Spanish area where I live in, has its own language (Galician) although most of people speak Spanish. Nationalist-separatist groups often act as nazis to impose their criterium. They "invade" all the areas (culture, politics, etc.) and if you only speak Spanish, you're a kind of traitor for them. If I talk with rural people I do it in Galician language but my usual language is Spanish. My comic strips and cartoons are written in Spanish and my political strips usually attack those groups: they hate me, of course :-) The Galician media that these groups manage, always ignored me even when I had international accomplishment. But in 2005 I got the international prize Curuxa de Honra givven by the Museum of Humor of Fene, a place in nationalist hands, and nowadays, the first Encyclopedia in Galician language has to recognise I also am Galician because of the impact of my daily work in public opinion.--- I have few wonderful news more. It's a kind of self-therapy because Internet became very addictive: yes, it's a kind of "illness" and probably my bones aren't well because of so many hours looking at the screen. But I remember few photos of your brilliant exhibition at a sooo beautiful place. It reminded me of my exhibition at Marktkirche in Hannover. Artist Reply: Thank you, Anneke. Yes, all is well now. I had two different and severe infections, during months, last year. Most frustrating of it, the doctors never were able to determine the kind of virus or bacteria and I was truly worried; meanwhile I took massive dosis of antibiotics and was very, very feble and weaked. Nowadays I'm totally fine :-) I'm drawing comics and strips in advance, in order to paint next Summer. Thank you again for your visit and support.
