© 2009 Sergio Vázquez Santiago. My friend Sergio is one of the most amazing artists I ever met. He lives at El Val, the village where I also live on Summer and this means, we meet from time to time. I'm proud to introduce my friend and his amazing art. Upper image: "Portón" (=big door) oil on canvas. Artist Reply: I'll do it as soon I'll meet Sergio. We usually meet at Mesón da Ponte, a bar near my home, to take a cup of coffee. Sergio says that he likes the "canfurnada" more than coffee. "Canfurnada" (Galician language) has a meaning difficult to translate. It means, in a way, holiday, meeting for joy, binge... Of course our "canfurnada" is innocent: we only take the coffee and talk about art and projects.
