As a young fellow, on our summer- holidays in the early sixties, we often walked along the sea-dike to the fishing-port of Zeebrugge, today a big sea-harbour especially with supplies for containers, petrol and car-import. Before there only used to be the fish auction, small chunky fishing-boats (several builded in oak) and a number of yachts who determinated the image of the place. Today there are hardly fishing-boats in Zeebrugge, the mine became a museum and the port is nearly completely occupied by yachts excepted some schrimpers. But the old landing-stage is still the same as fifty years ago. Image size: 260 x 360 mm
