Rose of Sharon Photo

These Rose of Sharon in my garden were blooming so beautifully I took a photo to share. They have been blooming since July and fill my yard with purple, lavender, deep pink and white. I love them and the bumble bees love them, too. They grow up to fifteen feet, but can be pruned into bushes. The seeds are prolific and each one looks like it has tan feathers going around it. They make a great natural fence.

Beauties!

Artist Reply: Thank you. They are all blooming right now, lavender, pink, and white. So exotic, but so easy to grow and never grow more than fifteen feet.

The colour is wonderful. I love the light too on your photo!

Very fine photographic artwork.

Artist Reply: Thank you for your compliment. I love Rose of Sharon, and using my Nikon telephoto lens with VR for stabilization helped capture the detail of the pollen.
