Chief Quanah Parker

This is the famous Commanche Chief Quanah Parker. His mother was a white woman captured at the age of 9 years old. She grew up with the Commanche people and his father was the great Native American Commanche Chief Peta Nocona. Chief Quannah Parker led his people after his fathers death all the way into peace with the white man. The piece is Pastel on Canson paper.
