Empirical Delusion

Empirical delusion is of course a contradiction in terms. I use it to ironically express the nonsensical duality of the position of all the great ruler(s) . As in this context, i.e., the last emperor of China, Pu yi. He was instated as emperor whilst still in the phase of his childhood/teenage years. In such a role seemingly his word would be law and his every wish his command however in essence his 'story' was preordained. Experientially one senses a lone figure wandering in his own world with pictographic characters a multitude of spheres, floating on high. He is caught in a web of royal heritage. And although his birthright gives him riches, privileges and power there are also responsibilities and duties. He went on history tells us to end his days removed from his status as emperor, living the quiet life of an ordinary gardener.
