Artist Reply: Thanks for the comment.Unfortunately the dog is deceased but I really felt him come alive when I was painting him.Although he is lying in the snow I almost felt as if I was painting him lying in fluffy white clouds.I am not a religious person so that interpretation was somewhat unusual.The portrait was well received by my client I am pleased to say.
