This chromolithograph is from the Report of the State Commissioners of Fisheries for 1896, published in 1897 by Clarence M Busche, State Printer of Pennsylvania. I found the proof in the first edition of the reports and in the introduction it states, "these colored plates were made by Mr. Sherman F. Denton of Wellesley, Mass., from living or fresh specimens."
