Beauty and the Beast

I titled this piece the beauty and the beast for two reasons. One, because when you look at it from a distance it just looks like a beautiful glowing crucifix, but then as you look at it close up you see a beastly image of the Christ on fire. likewise in Christ's death, which He called His baptism of fire, you see the ultimate beauty of God's Love through the sacrifice of His Son for us, but at the same time the ultimate horrible beastly evil that was also fully expressed as the evil of our hearts and our sins nailed Him to that cross. I don't see the Jewish people as the crucifiers of Christ, but I see my own sins as the crucifiers of Christ, and take full responsibility for my own sins and my sinful actions that are the real crucifiers of Christ Jesus. But thanks be to God, that He paid for my sins, a dept that I could never in a million years have paid for myself.
