Poor guy. He looks like he has had a hard life and a lot of fights. The lighting, his shadow, and his sitting at the edge of the dark shadow is superb.
I have an old feral tom in my neighborhood that I see infrequently, Nikolay. He looks about as bedraggled as this guy. I like that he's just a tiny bit out of the shadows and into the sunlight. Close enough to retreat back to the shadows if necessary. :)
Artist Reply: He was sitting confidently in the light exactly how I wanted. I had to use my zoom not to make him yield the way. We have non-domestic cats almost everywhere. A usual scene is: an old lady feeding a family of cats near a multi-apartment building. Thank you, Charles!
