The First Snow of Spring #2 recalls the first days of Spring when winter lingers on and snows one more time, just as you thought Winter was over. The painting uses textural elements against a white visual field with natural shapes created by pouring watercolor. Rectangular forms that function as quasi-lines run along the edges of the white visual field to give it structure.
