"THE big news 2020" (c) 2020 elton houck..This is a multi-media work,,first we started with the print-media...the newspaper and gessoed several newspaper pages and sealed them with acrylic gel medium and polyurethane...(that was the home grown canvas) then we painted the 6 foot by 3 foot newspaper with pastel, pens, spray can enamel , fixative, That was media 1..now for medium 2, the painted newspaper 'canvas' was photographed. Now medium 3..the main image of the photograph was not altered, but the excess photographed material outside the boundaries of the original art work were digitally over-painted to unify the project.---------Now the symbolic significance of THE big news 2020---the couple are staring off into space with wonder , bewilderment, and disgust...Why are they in such an emotional wreck? FAKE NEWS...fake news...fake..fake...I am not being political...We all know the news is not being reported properly..it is one-sided and bias and full of half truths with significant unreported facts omitted because they do not align with the news network's, value system, or to be more correctly stated,,,"they do not align with the news network's LACK OF VALUES SYSTEM.
