There is no commercial fishing on the Italian lakes, as far as I know. However, the amateur fishermen are particularly active. Fishing is rarely done from the shore, but more often in boats. The fishermen are mostly local retirees who take to the water early in the morning or in the late afternoon in their typical slender boats, many of which are still built in the traditional way in wood. After the fishing, as is the Italian custom, a coffee or aperitif is drunk in a local bar. Image size: 260 x 360mm
