5x7 acrylic paint pen on canvas board. I started with a simple yellow chick. I see them in the farm supply stores along with small ducklings and rabbits. They seem so helpless. I wanted to capture the "fluffyness" of the chick and then got a bit creative with the background/foreground since I didn't feel committed to a particular setting.
