Thundering Skies

This is a painting of the west coast in Oregon. In this scene the sun is setting as a storm moves in over the ocean. The lightning reflects off the water as the sound of thunder cracks the sky open. Waves crash onto the pristine beach as the land braces for a turbulent storm. It has been quite awhile since I have done a seascape and I must admit I have missed it!
