Drawn the same month and year as Give The Bird His Due, this piece appears to live up to its name. It looks like I may have used a gel pen as they had come upon the scene here in the states in the late Eighties. It measures approximately 9.5 by 7.5 inches on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art doing a look back in northwest Austin, Texas.

My impression suggests it's a kind of goat's head. In Nigeria, goat's head soup is the top treat at most important family events. Very good graphics as usual.

Artist Reply: Interesting interpretation, Nikolay. It looks to be something I wouldn't want stuck in my esophagus but maybe it's a lot more edible than it looks. In Texas, it's fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. But that's neither here nor there, as they say. Hope all is well. :)

Creepy cool , Charles ! Love the pen work and detail , dream like for sure : ) Hope your day is going well

Artist Reply: Just fought a solar panel sales guy off. But he was pretty nice, if terribly persistent. So hopefully that'll be my worst battle of the day, Dave. Yes, I thought of few of these 90's drawings were worth sharing. Hope your week is moving in a positive direction as well. :)
