The Nosebags

Today we went island hopping. You get to these by ferry. Each little island is situated in the sparkling, turquoise Marmara sea. Each island has beautiful houses and gardens. NO CARS! Except the fire engine, the police, the ambulance. Evevrything else is transported by little surreys and pair of horses. It's charming and very eco friendly! Here, the 'taxi'ponys take a well earned rest and a feed before the next pasengers arrive. BTW, these are just our holiday snaps so they're not perfect, just fun!

LOOKS LOVELY AND PEACEFULL AND THE PHOTO IS A GORGEOUS VIEW OF THAT PLACE AND SITUATION.

Looks very quaint to spend a few days. People pay a lot of money to take horse and buggy ride here in the states to do what you do as an everyday things. Did you go out in night in one of these because I see lanterns fixed to the side.

This is a nice vacation shot. I didn't know there were car-free islands anywhere. Sounds very nice. What this photo needs is an obvious focal point. As it is, I'm not sure whether the principal subject is the driver or the horses. Nice anyway. And thanks for your comments.

Artist Reply: Hello David! How are you? The focal point here is the pair of horses with their heads down in their nosebags.

Well this looks like a tonne of fun!! I would so love to spend the day riding around an island on one of this little surreys, pausing for lunch, so they can enjoy their 'feedbags'! Excellent shot, thank you for sharing and taking me there Rusty! :o)
