Life in the Hologram

A collective semi-conscious reality trapped in seductive summer honey, pretending not to notice the larger metaphysical irony... ©1999, Michael Cook NOTE: This was what I wrote to accompany the painting when first produced. The real irony came two years later, as this view of the WTC out my window was decimated on September 11, 2001. The original painting was destroyed on that date as well, by the cataclysm that resulted, both inside and outside my home.
