Carbon Glacier Trail

It's hard to imagine the rockface that this trail climbs along as you get closer to the Carbon Glacier. You can only capture parts of it in a photo unless you are down on the riverbed. (My daughter has a few of those pictures but those are hers to share.)We have a favorite place down from the main trail to have our lunch that offers the best view of the glacier. The cliffs behind us are truly awesome, 300 ft. tall and chiseled in fantastic shapes. The first picture shows the trail going back to where we came from. The second photo is her heading back to the trail after I went uphill to get a better angle on the cave, while she sat in the sun talking with the raven that always insists on us sharing our lunch. We always bring unsalted peanuts with us.
