It was a good thing we knew where this trail to the Owyhigh Lakes was and that we had our snowshoes. I hate losing the unknown trail in the snow. We almost turned around but we knew it wasn't much further to the lakes. It was so peaceful and the welcoming commitee was glad to see us. There were 6 jays that kept us company for lunch. The second picture is of the larger of the two lakes..neither are very big but the meadow and the mountains around them make the 3.5 mi.(one-way) trip worthwhile.
