Broad-Leafed Marsh Marigold

On our way to Grand Park, a massive meadow, we passed a smaller but also large meadow we like to call Baby Grand. It contained a small lake and very soggy marsh land. These beauties were found where the trail was under an inch of water...good thing our boots are waterproofed as there was no way around. These photos were taken in May of 2005, we probably won't be able to even drive to the trailhead until late June this year. We really want to be here when the meadow is full of flowers, probably August. We hear it is an incredible sight!! :)

I believe that is the 1st time I've ever seen a photo of a Broad-leaved Marsh Marigold. Thanks for the introduction, Mary. Your photos are absolutely gorgeous!
