More Meadow Flowers at Eunice

During the 1st week of August there are flowers wherever you turn in the meadows surrounding the lake. (I will have to get a better flower book) The short growing season will last for a couple more weeks, some flowers are going to seed as others are just coming into their prime. The first photo is nature's garden of Lupine, Magenta Paintbrush, and a yellow flower that I can't identify...yet. The second shot is Pink Mountain Heather, there is White Heather present here also. Sometimes you find it in clumps among other meadow flowers. Other times it is the only thing covering the hillside in a thick blanket of color.
