Breathe.....

Before last Thursday, it had been 3 weeks since we had been in the mountains. We had done some local, quick hikes, just to get out, but not had a whole day to spend in the mountains. This was our first hike back in the high country and lucky us, it was a glorious day. We are counting down the "must do" places before they close the roads to the higher elevations in the park. Eunice Lake to the Tolmie Peak Lookout was on this list. We were here a month ago when the flowers were out and the bugs were horrible. On this day the fall colors were brilliant, the bugs were gone and there weren't very many people on the trail. However, when we arrived at the lake and looked up at the lookout, there had to be 50 people up there....(Oh yeah, there was a bus in the parking lot.) There's not a whole lot of room up there, so we decided to hike up to the switchback on the hill that gave us a great view of Mt. Rainier and then come back to the lake for lunch. On the second photo, the little white spot in the upper left is the switchback where we took our mountain pictures. The little rock point on the lake to the left is where we sat for lunch. Thanks so much for stopping by.... :)

Hello Dear Friend Mary! It is wonderful to hear from you. How are you? what yah been doing? SSSistah! I love these shots, I have a thing about Mountains, In my younger Days I used to dream of being one of those Brave Mt. Climbers. I thought no height could be too high, such dreams. But now I am older and because of an accident when I was young never could climb a mountain such a this. So this one is Extra lovely to me. Now what can we do but love, Christ said. " if you have faith,( love) you could MOVE Mountains. Wow! he sure knew how to deliver a message, didn't he? I want to tell you my heart has loved you and your spirit. Your pictures are inspiring and your accounts of your adventures bring faith and beauty to the world. Thank you for the time you have taken to include me in your life. SinseerlyCB
