Dewey Lakes

This 5 mile loop trail is relatively easy and circles the top of Naches Peak. About half way around you come to a view point overlooking the Dewey Lakes. The lake you see here is the larger of the two. A little ways down the trail is a side trail to these lakes...about one mile down the hill. This is where we decided to go for lunch. We sat just on the other side of the small point on the right side of the lake. It was worth it to take this side trip and leave most of the crowds up at this viewpoint. There were two other groups on the lake, one with horses, but we still had a quiet lunch by ourselves....except for the gray jays. They were gathering before we could get our packs off.
