The Power of Mother Nature

We only traveled 3 mi. of the 5 mi. road before having a late lunch and heading back. I wish we could have made it to Ipsut Campground, but it was quite an adventure just getting as far as we did. We ended up pushing or carrying our bikes thru at least half of the 3 miles. The dirt road, when it's there, is about 20 ft. across. There were places where the river cut a swath thru the forest 60 ft. wide. In the first photo, I can't tell where the road actually was. The second photo shows where the road was...over the 6 ft. pipe up against the log. You used to be able to stand at the log and look at Ranger Creek shortly before it joins the river.
