© 2007 Armando Salas.--------- Time to share with all of you the main reason of my trip to París. My AW friends know I had success with my poster-tribute to Anna Politkovskaya. (More information: http://www.artwanted.com/imageview. cfm?ID=426509&SubGal=Cartoons%20/ %20Comic%20strips%20-%20Editorial). On January 13 I got an e-mail from Reporters Without Borders: my poster was selected to preside over a tribute to Anna at Notre Dame. My son and I went to París. On January 15, 10:30 a.m., meeting at Notre Dame: Tv, Press and Radio were there. Personalities too: Robert Mènard (Founder and Secretary General of Reporters Sans Frontières); Romain Goupil (film director); Jean-François Legaret (Council of Paris); André Glucksmann (writer) and Bernard-Henri Lèvy (world-wide known philosopher). Speeches and touching tribute to Anna. The personalities asked Putin and Russian authorities for justice. Pins, candles and posters were distributed to people. I was talking there with Alexandre Mineev, journalist from Novaya Gazeta, Novye Izvestia and Interfax. A terribly cold day at Notre Dame but I was so excited. ----------More news: my poster will be in a collective exhibition at Novaya Gazeta publishing house, and then, at XXVI World Congress of International Federation of Journalists. Both exhibitions in Moscow.---- MUSEOMANIA (a magazine you'll can find in the most important museums here, in Spain: Guggenheim, Spanish Museum of Contemporary Art, etc...) asked for permission to publish my poster on February. Another magazine printed in Granada by Radio Televisión Andaluza will publish it too. ------Yes, my trip to París is unforgettable-----Upper image: Posing with Benôit Herveuil and Robert Mènard. Bottom image: Jean-François Legaret and Bernard-Henri-Lèvy.
