2 Clay Pots

A simple acrylic study of two large clay pots. This painting was inspired by a visit to the botanical gardens in Benalmedena on the Costa Del Sol. The way the light catches the upper edges of the pots really caught my eye. This painting is quite large so would need a fairly plain, expansive wall to hang it on in order to do it justice. I have captured the rough texture of the surface of these two pots by using a dry brush technique and layering the colours to give the depth required.
