Violent wind has covered with snow everything except this lonely maple leaf and an icy puddle& The rare technique of woven patchwork makes the background look like a real snowy cloak and the leaf seems to be almost alive because of the way it was sewn to the background. Golden and blue glass beads add to the quilt winter charm. The work is intensively quilted with decorative machine stitches. Cotton, brocade and silk fabrics are used here.
