The Figeater-Bottom

This is my 50th painting of the day listed on Artwanted. It's the last of the Figeater beetle paintings, at least for awhile. This painting was especially challenging. I had difficulty describing the intense metallic sheen acurately, without resorting to using white. I'm very happy with it now.This image is blurry. aaaah, he looks like he wants to get up and fly away, like he is begging...sad. Pretty little bug. I like most bugs they are very interesting and cool looking, Fantastic work here.

Artist Reply: He wasn't begging at all Christine as he was already deceased. I'm sure he was at the end of his life cycle since he was in perfect condition when I found him.
