Even tho my husband and I aren't up in the hills as much as when our daughter was here, we are walking around our favorite small lake close to home. (Deep Lake AKA Nolte State Park) We do anywhere from 3 to 7 miles, depending on time. (Better than the excersize equipment in the garage.)It is about 8 miles from our house and we drive thru lovely countryside to get there. There are gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier from all around Enumclaw, but this is one of my favorites. This place is called Veazie Valley. One of the things I like about this view is the lone small mountain in front of the BIG one. It is named Mt. Peak and I was raised on the other side of it...the mountain WAS my backyard. It was a great place for me and my 5 siblings to grow up. I do want to point out that the day after this shot was taken (a week ago) Mt. Rainier and the higher foothills got their first heavy snow of the season. Many thanks to all who view my work!!!!! I very much appreciate your support and friendship!!! :)
