Grand Canyon Impression

An original piece of acrylic and ink artwork by Helen Davison, otherwise known as Aitch. Designed to be abstract in style, it has been painted entirely with a palette knife, in order to give the impression of the many layers of rock. It is inspired by the South Rim of the Grand Canyon as seen at sundown, which I saw this summer. Colours used include red, brown, yellow and white. It is framed in a mahogany style frame as can be seen in the in situ photograph. Date of completion: 28th October 2007.
