I did this little watercolor on yupo synthetic paper a few months ago; currently it's hanging at the Cafe a la Creme in Cumming, Georgia (it's for sale). Yupo is a "paper" which is actually an archival plastic. It's made for watercolor, and if you're into watercolor you really need to try it. It's maddeningly hard to paint on at times, because the pigment sits on the surface of the paper and moves around every time you add a layer. It's like painting on glass! As a result, you can see all the hard edged coffee-stain-like areas which I feel give a painterly quality to this little rose. As always, please do not reproduce or distribute this image in any way! Thanks for looking and for being a supporter of the arts!
