Snoquera Falls...Then #1

Last weekend my wonderful husband and I went on the somewhat-easy 2 mile hike to Snoquera Falls. I had been there 4 times before, this was his first time. Because of the record 92 degrees two days in a row I knew the snow melt was going to be heavy. We would be able to see the falls but probably not able to cross the creek and climb the steep slope to the base of these amazing falls. To truly understand last weekend, I need to take you back a few years. These photos were taken in March of 2004. The trail crosses the creek here, after my daughter and I tossed a few well placed rocks, and is the best place to photograph the majestic falls and the surrounding (awesome) rockfaces.
