AFRICA BOTSWANA - DUBA PLAINS GAME RESERVE-------------There is nothing an elephant likes more than a good sloppy mud bath. This serves two purposes; it protects their skin for the burning rays of the equatorial sun and deters ticks and other parasites from burrowing into their hide. They will just revel in it for hours plastering each other with mud pies. This pair was just having a good old time, slinging mud everywhere like a couple of kids in a rain puddle.
