Wishful Hydrangea Study

This is a quick doodle I did today, I'm on a tear and am painting as fast as I can! I call this one "Wishful Hydrangea Study" because I WISH that my lush leafy green hydrangea bush which I stare at accusingly every day would produce a nice full bloom like this! The leaves are from life, but the bloom is definitely from memory! Stupid bush! If you'd like to see more about my work, check out my website, and look for this painting on ebay under seller name "susankennedy". Thanks for looking! Susan

There is something about Hydrangeas, don't they like really acidic soil to grow well? In the meantime , keep painting them and be happy!
