This is one from some reference photos I took a year ago at Middleton Place near Charleston, South Carolina...an achingly wistful and mysterious place, sad but peaceful. This was actually a tiny chapel the plantation owner built on the property near a pond, and the light coming in the windows and bouncing around the simple room was absolutely beautiful.
