Enchanting Crystal Lake

The trail to Crystal Lakes (there are 2 of them) is a steep series of switchbacks that are even more difficult in snow. It's a 3 mile hike to the first one and another half mile to the second one. Many times we stopped at the first one for lunch....not enough energy to get to the other one. On this day the scenery was breathtaking but the wind was wicked, so lunch was quick and we headed back to the nice warm truck... :) Thanks for stopping by!!!

Wow: you've certainly hiked into some breathtaking vistas. Thanks for taking the camera into the freezing wilderness so I can enjoy the scenery from my nice warm home. The shots in your portfolio are stunning. Please keep hiking and shooting. Very nicely done.
