Every day we walk the Deep Lake trail...at least 2 laps... and each time, we see the subtle changes as the seasons turn. These blossoms are just getting started, as are the other forest flowers....spring is soooo late. These are the little blackberries that it takes about a million of them to make a pie. One of my husband's fondest memories of his mother are of the blackberry roll she used to make. Out of the 5 sons, he was the only one who would go out and pick the blackberries for her to make this special treat.
