I live on a very busy highway just outside of Enumclaw. Here the sounds of traffic are constant and sirens of all kinds go by a few times a week. It's not hard to imagine how I feel when we are up in the mountains. It's like a whole other world where we can escape. The sights of the sun glistening off of the water and the sound of the river restore my soul.... :-) The photos posted before this one were of the Skookum Flats Trail following the White River downstream to the falls. It is the harder and longer trail of the two. This weekend's photos are from the trail following the river upstream to the falls...a much easier trek and very different from the other in the sights along the way. The river's flood plain is wider and there are many places where large sections of riverbank have been washed away along with many trees. The tree on the right side of the frame will most probably be gone the next time we are here. Thanks for visiting!!!!!
